Hello friends, I need your help urgently. I have a pair of motors yamaha z200 HPDI with 1000 hours, I'm on the verge of madness, one of the engines was working only four cylinders(2 y 3 dont work), with the help of this forum, reaches the source of the problem, the famous shift position switch, I buyed a YDS and apparently the switch fails, sometimes sending the signal that is in drive position, and sometimes in neutral, PROBLEM SOLVED. the other engine has the problem that a lot people has happened and I ve read around here.when the engine runs 2000 RPM the engine to run good, but when I step up to 3000 rpm, the engine fails from 3000 to1800-2000 and goes up to 3000 and back down. if the sea is in good condition to navigate with the help of other engine is stabilized and it runs well at 3000-4000 rpm. with the help of YDS when the boat is running, i checked that the fuel pressure both, medium and high, down from 50 to 6 and 700 to 100 respectively, and finally the YDS me alone indicates failure nozzle, I assume that is because not enough pressure will fuel reaches the injectors.
What I've done:
compression test 105
clean all fuel line.
change: fitting 10 micron filter and water separator engine, internal filter vst injector cleaning and changing filters in micro injectors and high pressure pump. review of the entire harness

after this I swap the VST tank, just to discard a problem with all elements of VST.y the failure continuous .The low pumps I have not touched because I read that when that pumps fail the bulb pump is soft, and in my case is always hard, so if I notice this time in the YDS software, when i ran at 1500 rpm there is a fault in the coil pulser, my question now is. can the pulser coil generate fuel pressures fail? or would be 2 different failures?
Best Regards

2 different problems

if you cannot keep enough fuel in the VST it has nothing to do with a pulser

the HP and medium pumps cannot pump fuel if they do not get it from the lift pumps and tank

Hello 99yam40 , thanks for answer me. is possible that this fails its produce by lift or low pumps ? even without bulb pump lose pressure? also to discard any problem with the line from tank boat , I'm using an external auxiliary tank.'I ll swapp the lift pumps too.
Best Regards

you can check the pumps and there outputs
being that I am not familiar with that motor, I still would think that when you pumped the bulb it should force fuel all of the way into the VST filling it up with fuel.
If the bulb stays hard even after the HP pump and medium pressure pump looses pressure there has to be something stopping the flow of fuel from getting to them
