Ok thanks anyway im new to big boats just used to small john boats my trim isn't working I can put 12 volts directly to the pump and it works but I can't get no power to the wires coming from the pump to the solenoids

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... So what motor, 'n drive are in yer boat,.....

Trim/ tilt is related to the motor, so diagrams are probably available,....

It has the omc cobra 2.3 that's all I really know I'm new to the whole inboard deal I just know on the drive it also says omc cobra hopefully this helps

Ayuh,..... I moved this to the OMC forum, hopin' somebody will have an answer for ya,.....
I don't do OMCs, much less a 2.3 set up,....

Wiring is generic for the boat. Follow the wiring colors.

For the motor and controls, the factory manual has the wiring.

Ayuh,..... Where are you testin' the trim pump,..??
Are the trim pump cables hooked up to the battery,..??

Ayuh,..... Can you post a picture of the pump, 'n it's wiring,..??

I know Merc's but I'll try to walk ya through this OMC, I'm just not sure on this OMC,..... no memory to go on,....

There should be heavy wires from the battery to the solenoids or relays, where the forward control wiring starts,...

pump for the Cobra has a Blue wire you energize to go up toward the sky...... and a green wire you energize to go down toward the grass.

the motor is wired to a set of contactors (relays/solenoids/other terms for contactors) that is controlled by the switch in the controls.

Thanks guys for all your help i will look at it today after work I guess I need to see if I have continuity on the wires from the switch to the relays then go from there may be just bad soiloinoids but I will let you know what I find out
