Helpful hint (worked for me anyway)

Its that time of year again here in Canada where the ice fishing huts are gone, the water beckons and the boat is still in the driveway awaiting installation of the stern drive. You remember, you took it off cause you were going to change the water pump, paint it up, etc etc. Heres a simple tip to keep the drive from popping out of gear as you try to align the splines and re install the unit. Put the shift dog in forward, turn the prop counter clockwise to load the gears and then take your handy duct tape and tape the top blade of the prop to the cavitation plate to hold it under tension. Works great!! :cool:

Hey Mike, I'll be out there. Don't suppose you know anyone who can turn off Niagara falls for a day to bring the water level up in lake erie. I put a 19 pitch mud slinger prop on in case is doesn,t rain :D
