An Interestig Fishig Story,
Miss Texas was the twaller motoryacht of famous American novelist / writer Ernest Hemingway, she was built with very high quality materials for the movie called The old man and the sea written by Hemingway in 1953.This boat was part of the Cabo Blanco Fishing Club fleet, a nice ?poque hotel that Hemingway used to stay as a guest for fishing adventures. Miss Texas holds the world record till our days with a 4.70 Mt. Black Merlin weighting an astonishing 710 Kg fished by US pro fisherman Alfred Glassell around 53.
After it’s time of golden glory, the Cabo Blanco Fishing Hotel and Miss Texas were completely abandoned to their luck and time destruction. The twaller was rescued and bought back in 2009 and completely modernized & refitted to accommodate 4 guests in complete luxury. A Hotel entrepreneur has bought the Hotel and twaller recently and remodeled both to its looking ?poque glory. I’m sure Ernest would be most pleased.
