I want to run a transducer cable from console to stern on my 17' henry O and I have not figured out how to do it yet. Nothing that comes up through the deck seems to be a help.

I cut for an 4" access plate in the floor under the center console. A #6 bare copper wire fished through the center channel did the trick.

Center consoles often have a pipe of sorts used to route cables, wiring, etc. between the console and rear of the boat. Hope you left a pull string in case you want to add something new, makes it a little easier.

O’ yes, a pull string.

I had one attached to the old transducer cable for a while, a parachute chord looped. But when I tried to pull the new cable through the knot in the chord came loose. Talk about a bummer.

All the wiring and hoses threaded through the center channel then banged a right or left under the floor making a snake impossible.

Luck was with me, my first hole came close enough to the end of the channel so’s to get a grab on the snake. What a relief.

No granny knots this time.

Thank you for your kind attention.
