Looks more or less like me when I board. Always seems like you're getting more air when you're on the board than watching the video. :)

Anyhow, one thing I've learned in the one week each year I get to board is to get better air and more distance (jump from one side of wake to the other) you gotta cut harder. What I do is go out far to one side and slowly roll back in, then when I feel the boat start to accelerate me I cut hard into the wake and the boat will launch you real nicely over the wake. You're on your own for the landing part. lol

I don't see where you will get too much air on a shorter rope with that wake. However, once you start getting bigger air, a shorter rope may may for nice landings on the ramp of the other side of the wake.

Well, like said before and something I learned from wakeboarding.
Progressive edging makes all the difference.
Cut out hard as possible, wake for the boat to start pulling you back in and begin to cut in as hard as you can...
CONTINUE TO CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE WAKE.
This is the most key factor in getting air off of a wake.
I ride a HO Joker board (2003 & 2006 models) and have gotten all surface tricks down.
I can complete a in air 180.
Working on the 360 (Dont think I have enough wake, and handle pass is to slow).
But, yeah, like I said, continuous cut all the way through is the most importants thing. Dont panic and just do it.

If you have troubles with the 360 cuz of the handle pass, you can always try it wrapped. Thats how I learned to pull off 3's in the beginning. Landing in the flats gives a good spanking and is the main reason I do alot more wakeboarding.

Nice little vid

makes me want to have another go at kneebording myself.

Ive only done the kneeboard on a cable ski ,and that was brilliant untill they
wound up the speed for the skiers, then a real wierd sort of 700 in the air.
Must of looked real good to spectators.
only wish i knew it was comming and could of protected my face from a good slapping ha ha .

your doing a great job, just take it easy and youl be real good at the big stuff eventualy.

2 things, cut out far, wait for the boat to start pulling you back in, then cut hard all the way through the wake, think as if you are a knife trying to cut into the wake.

and second, get someone that knows how to drive the damn boat, constant speed, and smoother water would also help.

landing, good luck, rofl.
