Once the rain stops, I'll post more pics of the inside. Had her on the water, last night, with Ezmobee and it ran like a dream. Quiet and Smooth. Im not doing a full resto but will be doing a floor and transom this winter along with minor cosmetic repairs and possibly paint. For those of you wanting photos of your boat on the water, I HIGHLY suggest Ezmobee as the official Starcraft photographer! Thanks for getting these great action shots, Jeremy!!! Also, for those of you who dont know the story behind this boat, I traded my Searay for it (even trade) and after 4 years of working on the I/O and the pain and agony of several "tows of shame", before getting all the bugs ironed out, I was able to start paying it forward by towing another boater to shore last night.

The boat hauls some serious butt. Can't wait till Todd gets a GPS on it. We think the motor is mounted a little low because it throws a lot of water until you get it trimmed up. Raising it a hole or two will probably be beneficial. Corners like it's on rails too.

It was insisted that I drive and drive alone. That's why Todd is sitting in my boat in that in that one pic. I was impressed. I enjoyed the speed and the handling. It's a little big for me so I can't say that I have 4-foot-itis but I do hope to spend some fun times on it.

WOW that V5 is a MONSTER next to the 18' SS! It would be perfect for Huron or St. Clair!! Great buy!!!

If it does, I'll send it to you! I've been following your resto since learning that I would come to own your "twin" and love your work!

Thanks! I dont think I ever will turn back

I wanted you to drive it like you owned it to get your honest opinion. I figured you'd have more fun running solo:D

I've never had a boat that cornered like this! Saying that its on rails just doesnt do it justice. I'm used to pitching and rolling around a corner. Not this! Everything about this Starcraft is the exact opposite of the Searay. (god I hope jason doesnt read this!)

Sweet rig there. I didn't see a top speed for it. So how fast is it?

We don't know yet. Haven't GPSd it. He still had a ton of throttle left when pacing me while I had mine floored at 38.5MPH.

Im not sure. Ezmobee thinks about 50mph. Im installing my chartplotter in it this week so I'll be able to GPS the speed. Here is a link to the youtube video capt_noob took when he owned it. After watching, let me know if you think I would benefit by lifting the motor up a notch. It seems to be spraying alot of water.

Re: Here she is: 22' SS V5

Todd, when I first watched that video I thought that water spray was cuz he was going that insanely fast. Not I know it's cuz the motor wasn't trimmed out enough :p
