To be fair I am okay with welfare IF if is highly regulated and limited to how long you can recieve it. (i.e. in WI you can be on Welfare for 2 years of your life and that is it)

Teens spending money they don't have

This trend is VERY disturbing. Spending thousands of dollars on clothes that you don't need, when you can't put food on the table or pay for an education to get yourself out of the crap hole you live in. I don't feel sorry for these people at all.

Not only does this look bad in that these people are wasting money and are probably the ones looking for a handout, but it also shows how big of a deal appearance is in being socially accepted. That isnt good either

That's a good arguement for euthanasia if you ask me. Just spray some gas in the dressing rooms where ever the hell they sell $1000 pants.

Will ending welfare put a stop to the role models whom these youngsters are emulating? Will deadbeat dads suddenly become responsible adults? Are thousand dollar jeans limited to welfare recipients?

Not advocating welfare here...just challenging your connection between welfare and this particular "problem".

If you start with the assumption that you'll never get out of the ghetto, then spending every cent on boosting your status in the 'hood is rational.

Pony,

I read the whole article and didn't see anything about anybody being on welfare.
Although I agree with most of what you posted, there seems to be a heavy dose of stereotyping in relation to the welfare issue.

Well then, let's talk about the welfare issue. Let's talk about 2 or 3 generations where welfare is a life style, not a helping hand. Let's talk about how the more kids you pump out, the bigger the paycheck. Let's talk about all the other programs that go with welfare, like wic, food stamps, and in this State, free medical insurance.

Let's talk about what would happen if this Socialist system wasn't in place.... do you think they would starve?, or would they get off their butt and make something of themselves.

Maybe you're right Frogger. I guessed it was a couples handle like Mikeandronda. Ya know, jim and monica . . .

Maybe I'm an idiot (no need to hit that hangin' curveball). I don't usually attack wimins, but I always wanted to use this line: "How do you blow a jimonica?" just couldn't figure out when it would've worked best and now I've just given it away . . . Damn it!

I say welfare for 2 years. If you can't find a job or get a skill in that timeframe, toughsh@t for you. If you have kids, the gov't takes them and uses the money that you would have received as welfare to pay for the states expenses of providing for the child that the welfare slacker obviously didn’t care about. That would break the cycle, but once again, it's not PC so the libs will never let it happen, but I bet it would send a strong message that people would get real quick.

RF,
I now understand your obsession with my sexual identity. I saw the picture of yourself that you posted and appears that your lacking a few of the proper chromosomes. Just a little flaming?

ericKems, sounds like you are saying that if you are poor, the state should remove your children from your home. Also sounds like you are saying, that only "libs" would disagree with that approach.

Did I understand you correctly? You want a new government program that will separate children from their parents?

And all conservatives are with you on this?

From other posts tonight, this jimonica has the same writing style as CJY, (although not as long winded) and uses some of the same phrases, also has the same "flame and frivolous nature" as Technofeller... could it be?

I speak only for myself, no other. And yes you read it correct. I'm tired of paying for lazy a@@es. You want to pay for them, you can pay more taxes. There are always exceptions to every rule, disability for instance.
