Yours truly, Billy the Apprazur and do it all Steve headed NW early this AM and ran out to 42' of water. Foggy and cold. Wasn't looking like a very good day. Good bite, no gags. Moved around a bit and we ended up in 44' and got a really good bite. We stayed around this one most of the day and were rewarded with 5 legal gags up to 26". It did clear up and get really nice. The seas never rose to more than a foot all day. Stopped off at a spot in 38' on the way in, but no keepers.

We were headed in and 9 - 10 miles out hit a solid wall of fog. Visibility was about 200 - 300 yards. Stayed up on plane to the channel then idled in the rest of the way. Fog stayed almost all the way in. I had both gps running. One zoomed in very close and the other on digital compass..kinda hairy..

Get to the ramp and FWC was there to inspect the boat and check the fish. My newly received registration is sitting on my counter at home, but the sticker was current. Everything else checked out good and I got away with a warning for not having the registration on board.

Really good day all in all, and it's good seeing that those highly endangered gags are still hanging around...

Looks like after the big blow this week that Wednesday will be good also, so going back out..

Will bring camera this time....

Re: Hernando Bch 12-11

Once upon a time fishing out of the keys, I had noticed that boats did not have radar. Mentioned this to a guide that I was going to book for a fishing trip, he mentioned that they do not get fog in the Keys. Well, the next morning when I went to meet the guide I had said, "I thought you did not get fog here," it was as thick as pea soup.
