Hey guys, my wife like to collect sea shells. Over the years I have picked up little shells here and there for her, and we have spent days combing the beach for them. Well, yesterday we went to this place and they had some pretty neat shells, so I got her a couple. Check 'em out:

OMG!!!!!:^

They are awesome. That was very sweet of you SW.:)

I have to tell you a story. I always comb our beach for shells. One day I was searching for shells (Mr. LF was ahead of me). My face was looking down the entire time and all of a sudden I saw a very unique shell. You'd have thought I won the lotto. I screamed for joy yelling to Mr. LF "I have never seen this type of shell here before. It must have come from some place in the Carribean."

Mr. LF smiled and said, well keep looking, where's there's one there's bound to be more. So I kept looking and all of a sudden I spotted a real beauty in the surf. A bright coral color conch. I said "NO WAY, this is awesome, I can't believe my luck, I hope I get them all before someone else comes along."

Finally, I said "a hurricane must have blown apart a shell shop in one of the resort areas, this many beauties couldn't have possibly washed up from the Gulf and landed on our beach."

Mr. LF finally busted out laughing at my amazement and said "no, they actually came from the shell shop on our seawall". He had been planting them every so often just to watch my reaction. d:)

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread but it reminded me of it.

LadyFish, that is hilarious!!!d:) I kind of saw the ending coming, because I had the idea to out to the beach, and pretend we found them, to get everyone to go looking for these monsters.

We bought them at a shop in Gulf Breeze called The Shark Museum. They have tens of thousands of shells, but very of these big ones. These are the biggest we have ever seen and I knew th moment I saw them that Dee would have to have one....or two.....or four!

Awesome display, SW!

When I was on vacation in Aruba this May, I combed the beach every morning and found only smallies. There must of been an early riser who rose before me!

So Ladyfish, did you get Mr. LF back yet, or are you still planning something big?

Near what body of water?

The Columbia River and little Lacamas Lake (a block or two away).

OT: How much were those shells?
