Derwood,<br />Since we've never actually corresponded before, I thought I'd say hello before some of the others influence your opinion of me. When I was active on this board, was when you were away in late August. I kind of got ran off by a few folks, but I stop in every now and again to read a little. Your posts and general phraseology always make me laugh. You're quite an individual <br /><br />I only started posting again because I was getting accused of some things and I had to defend myself... and then, I realized how much fun it is to post on here. Heck, I figured they'd forgot about the old Moose by now, but they even remembered where I was FROM! I got a little misty just thinking about it.<br /><br />I plan to "behave" myself this time around, even though I don't think I was WAY out of line the last time... I kind of wish I hadn't deleted all my posts; some of them were positively Shakespearean.<br /><br />Anyway Derwood, glad to meet you, and if things don't get too ugly in here, we'll sure talk more.<br /><br />Good day, - mOOse -

Hello there Moose Miller,<br /><br />I saw the old and the new posts and I make my own opinions about pepole after I listen to what they have to say.<br /><br />We are on a fourm and all we can do here is read what other pepole type....and get a genaral opinion of what they must be like.<br /><br />I like to be honest while writting because that way pepole don't form and opinion of me that is diffrent from who I realy am.<br /><br />If you were to meet me In person....I would come across the same way as you read me on my post.<br /><br />To be honest....All of your posts that I have read so far have been you getting mad at someone elese....or a bunch of pepole.<br /><br />I doubt that is the way that you are all of the time and I figure that I just caught you on a bad month on the board....so don't worry....I wont judge you untill I feel that I have seen all sides of you and have enough information as to make my own opinion.<br /><br />Fair enough?<br /><br />Here Is some stuff to ponder on before you blast some of the pepole here.<br /><br />The "Steve" thing: I have been here awhile and I think (this is just my opinion) that this may shed some light on the matter.<br /><br />Now....when Admin 5 first posted on this subject he did it in such a way that we all just took it as NON serious thing. He was doing a little chop busting on steve and thats all we were doing....just a little chop busting in name of good humor.<br /><br />I don't know Steve and I have no Idea as to what his job consists of or what his boss would or should do to him and its realy none of my concern.<br /><br /> I saw the post that gave way to a little light hearted ribbing....As I assume that Admin 5 intended it for....and posted a humorus remark.<br /><br />To come on to that post and call a bunch of pepole jerks for pokeing fun at steve....being that is what the post was intended for....seems a little unfair don't you think?<br /><br />Sloopy....Boy this is going to be a tough one.<br /><br />You and sloopy (so far) are not that diffrent....now before you get mad and take offence to that hear me out.<br /><br />When I first read Sloopys posts he would get a shell lobbed in his direction and fire back with both barrles....mean and nasty. <br /><br />After a while we got him to think about what he was replying and he has calmed down quite a bit with that. Not that if someone were to blast him a good one or just kept it up that he would not rebuke in grand form....a person (expecily a teenager) can only take so much and then get mad.<br /><br />Thats natural....and I don't see how its any differant for you. I don't like it when I get blasted and I am sure that you don't either.<br /><br />Its not the fact that you don't agree with someone that gets you in hot water....Its how you go about telling that person you don't agree that pepole don't like.<br /><br />Its to easy just to not push a few keys on a computer and to waste time getting mad at them when you can think about what someone just said and take the time to reply in a way that lets them know what your opinion is and that you will agree to disagree without becomeing verbaly nasty.<br /><br />If they become nasty anyway then they will get it from other pepole in your defence. not because the others agree with you but because you showed the other person respect and did not get it back.<br /><br />The other guys know that Sloopy can be anoying sometimes....when you came on to the post and blasted him and a bunch of other pepole (you yourself admitted that some of it was harsh) they responded just as I said and came down on you.<br /><br />I got blasted once on a post...."sugar trout"....some guy came on there and just let me have it....called me a lake rapper and told me I was stealing from my kids and all sorts of stuff.<br /><br />Before I knew what was going on a few of the guys blindsided the guy....they were not nasty but firm on the fact that if you don't agree say so but leave out the personal attacks.<br /><br />Man....This is more words typed by me than ever before....Its official....Derwoods longest post.<br /><br />After previewing it (about 5 times) it has the taste of me comming down on you....that is not my intent I asure you. I just want you to know how I see what happens on this board and maybe you can take a little something from that and let the juices flow without getting pepole all flusterd up.<br /><br />I feel the need to lighten this up a little....I feel all frumpy right now.<br /><br />Been fishen lately?<br /><br />I went out in the gulf today and caught my limmet of beer fish, my limmet of seaweed fish and one big a$$ spanish mackral. Tried out a new pole (old pole that up untill today I hated) and a new lure.<br /><br />The new/old pole is a bait caster by Diawa called "the millonare" on who knows what kind of pole.<br /><br />I have never used a baitcaster before and I have tried to use it with no avail untill today....It seems that it will cast and put that speical funky retrive on a heavy sinking lure or a jig just the way I like it.<br /><br />The lure I was trying out was one of those gold colored metal tubes with the chartruce head and two treible hooks.<br /><br />I was skeptical to say the least....when I tossed it in near the boat to check out its rate of decent....it sunk like a brick.<br /><br />But after a little work on the wiggle and jiggle I caught that nice mackral.<br /><br />I guess an old dog can learn new tricks.<br /><br />Well I hope I did not offend you or make you dislike me....later dude.<br /><br />Derwood.

Dang, "Writerwood", that is the longest post that I have seen of your's. Almost dosed off twice while reading it. But I would have to go along with what you say. If you deserve it, fine, but if not, say so.

Whoops, sorry. I dosed off in the middle of my last post and my head hit the enter key while the mouse was on post. <br />As I was saying, if you get on someone, get ready to get it back by someone, cause everyone will not aggree with what you are saying, don't matter if your right or wrong, so I just kinda keep my mouth shut. Well about to dose off again.

Thanks for the "straight-forward" talk Derwood... good luck and good fishing to you. I envy you with your "salt-water" endeavors... the most salt water I see here in Nebraska is if I'm fishing downstream from a group of people watching a Husker game this year <br />Thanks again, -mOOse -
