hey, dipstick....where are u?

Can someone please tell me where the heck the dipstick is on my engine??!! I am running a Mercury 302 I believe it is the original motor in my 89 Eclipse. I have looked everywhere!

It's Mercruiser not Mercury (that's an outboard), and Mercruiser has not used a Ford engine since 1977.

See if you can find a serial number off the motor. There should be a tag just above and slightly aft of the starter. Or a picture.

Look at the oil pan,See if there is anything comming from the drain plug?
Yes? follow that to the end.
No? then someones removed the dipstick(maybe).J
