Really appreciate your answers so far, if you would do me a favor & look at my post of 11:25 am today (8/19) & give me your short / quick answer would be much appreciated...you didn't want PM's so thot I'd try this cuz I got no reply from previous....if I could I'd buy ya a milwaukee soda. thnx

Hey Tex, I got her fixed...had to remove that top cyl carb & re-messed with everything I could think of & she fired right off...w/out manifold & air silencer on...Thnx again for your help...I don't think people realize the inspiration it gives us who aren't too knowledgeable re: these awesome OBs. Anyway, she's running like a champ & from what I understand had been in storage for over 10 yrs. Mucho gracias.

Cool. I've had to clean carbs multiple times so often that I just do it twice to start with.
Soak in bucket, spray out all passages with carb cleaner, then blow out and dry with compressed air. Then I do it all over again.

I'm still curious as to what you mean when you say "manifold" ??
