Hey folks,
Man, it seems like a long time since I last posted. I've been pretty busy, I am working as a realtor now and the training I am recieving is a massive amount for me. I have classes in the morning and classes in the afternoon. In the meantime I need to be working on gathering clients, which is no small task in itself. There's a ton of realtors in this town, and I've only been here for less than 2 years, so I don't have much of a network. I have enough money in the bank to last me about 2 years, so I should be ok.

Anyway, thats enough of that, what I really wanted to post was, I took my 11 year old son to the range last night, and we shot my 9mm kell-tec, as well as a 22 revolver one of the guys let my son shoot.(very nice of him). My son did good. He hit the target from the 20 ft and the 50 ft range. He followed all the rules, and we both had a good time. I told my son to tell his teachers and friends at school about it, and to talk about all the safety rules that were in force. I think I made a good impression on him, and he wants to go back. I'm thinking of buying a 22 handgun for him to shoot the next time we go, as he got tired from shooting the 9mm pretty fast. It has a hard, long trigger pull and has quite a kick for an 11 year old.

I'm at work downloading some files for my computer, so I have a little time, but normally by the time I get home I am too tired to do much posting here on iboats. I have to manage my time now, and I don't want to ignore my family. I'll still post ocasionaly, but I probably won't be replying to many posts. I'm sure things will be much more manageble in the future, but for now I'll be 99% lurker. Thanks for all the kind replys in the other thread. :)
Now to go catch up on the other posts!

Re: Hey!

Good lUck with the r/e sales. It is tough work, but can be very rewarding if you are good at it.

Cool Kalian. I'm curious if you get any reaction from your kid's teacher . . .

  Oh cr*p, you have done it now, you will be up for Child abuse, Forcing your son to actually hold a "Real" gun and actually making him shoot it. You have ruined his little Phsyci, (Or whatever) Be expecting a knock on your door from Child protective services!

Re: Hey!

The next step is to have him shoot out of a car window!! Start him on highway signs and maybe you will get lucky and take a pop shot at a mechanical deer!!!!

Actually my Dad started me out very young and I am thankful for it. I guess my best piece of advice is HEARING PROTECTION along with the safety.

Bob
