Re: HGE Exhaust Manifolds

Well, I'll have to answear my own post, I took Don S.'s advice ( basicly, it's cheaper to replace questionable exhaust manifolds than an engine & manifolds ) and aquired a set of these HGE exhaust manifold kits ( for a 1983 SBC Volvo ) , they were for $341.00 delievered, they appear to be a pretty good casting, they matched up perfectly ( but were a tad bit heavey!! when installing them ) from what I was told they are imported by a company in Western Canada ( H&H Marine ), The mainfold I wanted to aquire was GLM, but the company that I was dealing with , said that they had some "fit issues " with them and no longer carried them, hope this helps anyone who might want to get a set of these manifolds.

i have use a lot of them. they are made in china. they work very well. they will not handle closed cooling. heat transfer is poor on closed cooling.so far no problems or comebacks. oldest system installed is three years old. they are from "h&h marine engine services" vancouver canada.
