Howdy all

Is there some special way or not to store your SIB during the cold bitter winter months? As you know, I live in Germany and we can have some really damp winters, boat will be kept in the basement or cellar, its usually dry down there but cold. Is this ok or will it get mold? Also, do I need to purge engine of oil before winter sets in? We mostly used it in fresh water.

Hola Zodie

So you and crew are retiring to winter headquarters, probably will need to deflate to place in basement or cellar, right ? If this is not an issue, store sib inflated to 3/4 pressure to keep all glued parts, transom, tube's seams fabric stretched. What does the manual recommends about winterizing your engine ? Do you plan to start engine from time to time, or won't see any water till winter passes ? If so, could change engine and tail oil as well.

Happy Boating
