Hi From Gulfport

Well it's been nearly 6 months now since the big K hit us and we have finally acquired a new computer and got the ol cable modem up and running, so thought I'd do a drop by and say hi. Katrina did kick us pretty hard and we got about 3 ft of water in the our house here on the river; my finish floor is at + 16.3', so the surge was about 20' here which is about 3 miles inland and north of I-10. Anyway, my wife and I are doing most of the work ourselves at night and on weekends, and have most sheetrock up, some actually floated, and even carpet in 2 rooms. We should be done in a few more months and at least we have a house to rebuild unlike some of the folks we know. At any rate, hope you are all doing well!

Heck man, your ears must have been burnin. Just this mornin I mentioned you to the wife. I was wondering how ya made out sence we havent heard from ya. Glad to hear yall are ok and getting things back together.<br /><br />We got beat up pretty good too and are really just gettin back in the house. Just got the last bit of carpet installed yesterday. Now its time to finish up all the little stuff.<br /><br /> Man its scary when I think of someone and then !!!BOOM!!! here they come.<br /><br />BTW what road ya on over there? I know a lot of people on the biloxi river that live in the area north of Lorraine but still south (via the river)of the Woolmarket area.

Good to hear from all of ya and thanks for all of the concern, it does the heart good! Things are getting a lot better every day. Snapper Bait, good to hear from ya, how's your Tiger doin? Might need a vacation soon, but other than that our needs are being met and in order. Heck, even our insurance came across quickly and has been settled (although there wasn't enough, but that was my fault for being under insured, oh well $$$$$ lesson learned on that one). Reel Poor, we are on Riverroad Drive, in Retreat Village. Whats your whereabouts? You ever run up the Biloxi??
