Hi have some questions, need answers!

PLEASE HELP!!!<br />I have just bought a 1994 Sea Rayder 14' Jet boat with a 90 merc, and the place where I bought it wanted to service it before i got it, with a seal kit (says to do this every 3 years because moisture will destroy the seals). he has now done this, and replaced the pistons and honed the cylinders (said one cylinder had low compression) and now he says there is a problem with an electronic piece that has something to do with the spark i guess, or how it fires, said moisture got in? The little box has like a clear epoxy type face and you can see through it to the electronics with wires going through. Does this sound like a bunch of BS, or are these pretty common problems? I traded my 2001 Banshee for it and he sold the bike 2.5 weeks ago now, the day after I traded!! Anyone?? Thankx alot

The little box has like a clear epoxy type face and you can see through it to the electronics with wires going through.

That's probably the voltage regulator. If it is, it shouldn't cost any more than about $20 to fit and the part is around $120.

I can't/don't understand haw all of a sudden after you take posession all these things just take a fit. Didn't you take it out for a test run before the money was shelled out. NO GUARANTEE at all?

I guess this guy doesn't do any service on the machines (boats bikes atv'setc) until it sells, so once i traded for the boat, he wanted to put in the seal kit to be safe. then he did a compression test, and found 1 cylinder was low. then once it was altogether again, I guess this problem came about.. I just want it all done, summer is running out (I'm up here in N. Ontario Canada) want to get a few weeks of cruising and playing in!
