Hi / lo pressure fuel pumps

1994 seaswirl 190 se. This is a FI 5.0 motor. Has 2 fuel pumps, one directly above fuel filter and one on back of engine. My common thinking is that first pump is low pressure and second pump would be high pressure feeding injectors. Is that correct?
First pump above fuel filter is getting squealy and runs warm so wanting to get a back up for it.

You are correct..., I have a '95 seaswirl 198 with the same setup..
