I bought an old hiawatha outboard and I can't seem to find any numbers on the motor or lower unit. Does any body know where I will find the model & serial #'s.
I'm not sure where the numbers are located on that outboard. Check this link for info on Hiawatha outboards in general. If you can post a photo, someone might know more:
Hiawatha's are just a Gale in other clothing. Should be model/serial numbers on a tag at the top of the transom clamp. If not there, should be some numbers under the cowl, somewhere on the powerhead.
Some Hiawatha's are Gales. Others were made by Scott-Atwater and Eska. That's why we need the model number or a photo. Big differences between those three makers.
