HID Number

Does anyone know how I can find out any details about my 1986 Chris Craft 21 foot Scorpion Cuddy Cabin, or anything at all about it. I have tried to find out with the HID number, but everyone wants money. Is there any free sites to check this? I think it's a 85 gallon tank, but cant see the plate clearly. I have a few things that need attention, but do not have a book to see how they work. ( Fridge Cooler, Alchol Stove, Water/Sink pump ) I am really new to all this, and just bought the boat a few days ago. Thanks to anyone for help... Art

Use the hull identification number and contact Chris Craft. They are still in business.

It's certainly worth a shot, but don't get your hopes up. When OMC sold C*C 10 or so years ago, the new owners either didn't purchase or couldn't be bothered keeping archival material around. I wrote them concerning my '99 240 Express. They were very nice, but didn't have anything to tell me.

As far as the accessories on the boat, they were all made by someone else anyway. Get in there, find brand names and model numbers, and turn to the mfr's websites and forums like this one for help and advice.
