high rpm throttle closed

I have a 1995 omc 115 turbojet , it has been sitting for a few years. I had the carburators rebuilt it has no choke , but a primers.<br />When you rev it sometime it runaways and you have to shut it off to get it to idle.This motor has a mind of its own . check everything , disconnected the primer. help

Thermal runaway is not uncommon when a 2 stroke is revved without load. If that's what you were doing, don't do it again.<br /><br />If that is not the case, tell us more about the conditions when it runs away.<br /><br />Let us know.
