Have a older 30ft. Searay DB that this past weekend only had shown that the shore power voltage meter would clime from approx 125 volt where it always sits to about 140 for no apparent reason. I had both A/C,s on, but I always do that and it stays at 125v. This was on a very busy hot Sunday afternoon at the marina. Late evening till Monday morning back down to normal and stayed there. Problem?

Re: Higher Voltage?

120vac can be as high as 132vac. At 140vac, it’s too high, unless you were monitoring the modified sine wave output from an inverter with a meter that is not rms. That would give you a higher reading than an rms meter.

Re: Higher Voltage?

Just looking at the meter on the panel. Could the meter be bad and not showing true voltage?
