HIN Help - Sangster

Hi all. I hope someone can help me out. I have tried to get information on my boat by searching the HIN on various sites but I always get an error as the format doesn't mach. It looks like I45I76CI or 145176C1

The boat is a Sangster and I know it was sold at some point in BC.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Well Sangster was a Canadian boat company, that number looks more like a Canadian registration number and not a HIN number. Do you know what year it is and did you get any paperwork with it when you purchased it?

If it's Canadian, then a HIN might not have been required. That was a U.S. regulation. Is it a Sangster or a Sangstercraft?

I purchased the craft at a private sale and sadly there was very little documentation to go with it. What I can tell you is there is a "Sangster" decal and a 'Sold by Jones Boys Marine LTD, Kaslo B.C.' sticker on the boat, a previous Pleasure Craft License Number (3H3279), a Transport Canada tag with a number (239616), builder (SHEA IND.), and model number (V145).
I contacted Jones Boys via email and am awaiting a response. I ran the License number and Transport Canada numbers, to check for theft, with no results.
Any other tips?

if that tutorial doesnt help w being able to post pix, you're probaby using InternetExplorer as a browser, and will need to use a different browser, Chrome, FireFox or other....

Just an FYI incase anyone is interested. Jones Boys got back to me with a little info regarding the boat - "I can tell you is it is a 14' 6" 1976 Sangstercraft. About a Year later the Company changed the name to Canaventure which were built till the mid 90's. The Company is now defunct."
