Hit a wake and motor cut out

Here's a good one. My Montauk has a 1990 Merc 75hp. I hit a wake. When the boat pounded down, the motor cut out. It would not start back up.

I checked the gas supply from tank to carb and it seems to be getting gas.

Any thoughts?

Check your gas hose again, from the ball to the engine. Mine comes loose often when jumping wakes. Just need to push it back in, pump the ball, and everything is ok.

do you have a kill switch. could have come loose.

Thanks guys. I traced gas all the way to the carbs. There is no kill switch.

ignition system wire came loose.

check your wiring harness plug.
