so the bayliner is new 2009. last weekend hit a rock and mangled the prop.
changed out the prop (went for 21 to 19) and no vibrations or anything but engine temp doesnt get up the 175 where is used to?? It used to warm up and stay at 175 consitantly no matter what we did.. and now it wont rise out of the 120 - 130 range.

any thoughts.

If you went from a 21 pitch to a 19 pitch your Rpm's would increase. May be pumping more water? Either that or your thermostat could be stuck open.

Do you have access to a temp gun? Check the accuracy of the gauge. The bang might have messed up the movement or shook a connection...

Piece of debris keeping thermostat from closing. I have had it happen several times over the years.
