Took a chunk out of the prop and skeg, but did not hurt the boat.

The motor is a 1985 50 HP-e50tlcud.

It is a 11.75 x 17- has the number 147A2 stamped on it.

Michigan Wheel shows thier "Vortex" prop with a separate hub kit.

Are these any good? I've never seen them until I started looking for a new one.

A search with the number stamped on it turns up nothing.

Please give advise and opinions.

Thanks

That seems like a huge prop for that motor. My 60 only runs a 10-5/8 x 13 to push a lite 16'.

Michigan Wheel is middle of the road. I run the Merc props but when I step up I go with Stilletto.

Should have added that it is on a 16 ft Sylvan DeepFisherman. It gets up on plane and I mean right now. Was set up this way when I bought it last August.

You could have the prop re built, if you happy with the performace.?
How much of the skeg got removed? can be repaired.
