Well it was bound to happen, Boat is only 3 weeks old, not my first boat either, Was running in about 30 feet of H2O at about 10 mph when I hear and FEEL WHAAAMM!!! boat comes to dead stop but motor stays running, I have run threw this area many many times and no problems, well there it is about 1 foot down a submerged log!... dented the lower housing right on the front closest to the transom and turned my skeg into a searated knife, but didnt bend it, my question is can I just put a skeg gaurd on and let it go , the dent in the housing is not very deep or big at all , there is no vibration or lose of power, just some rough edges, what do you guys think???

Let your insurance carrier know about this and get it looked over by a mechanic before you drive it again.

If it turns into something serious, you need to have your ducks in a row. Should not have been too much damage at that low speed, but if it dented the housing, may also have cracked the transom or mounts.
