Hey guys,

I have been reading a lot about decarboning and such, so i bought a can of sea foam and want to decarbon my engine. However, i see where some people simply add a can to your gas tank let it run, set, run, set etc.. and some people get the deep creep and spray directly into the carbs. Is either way better than the other?

Personally, I think the deep creep sprayed into the carbs is the best. Gets right to the heart of the matter, if you will. They both have about the same ingredients, so either way it's gonna work. Putting some mixed in with fuel/oil in a 1 gallon gas can seems to work well too..

i think run-setrun-set does a more complete job, i think most people use 1 can to 2 gallons of premix gas & oil. when done you can always add more gas to fill the tank.

I use OMC engine tuner sprayed directly into the carbs as per instruction on can. Use the whole can and cut the motor off and let sit. Fire her up at high idle. Sure blows a lot of black crap outa my exhaust.

Hmm.. well since i have a can of the regular sea foam and no deep creep i will try the run/set and if it doesnt work i will do the deep creep method. I have VRO on mine so im not sure about using a seperate tank, but emptying a can into my onboard tank w/2 gallons or so should be alright, correct??

the most popular is to mix one full can of sea foam liquid with abuot 1 gallon of gas/oil mix and run it through idling around for a while. then , when its done, let it sit for about 20 minutes. when you start back up, ne preparred for TONS of smoke!
