Holding Tank Sensor?

I have a 05 Doral Alegria with a bad holding tank sensor and I can't find a replacement. The sensor is approx. 16" long, looks like a piece of 3/4" pvc tubing, with a few contacts on the side. I searched the internet and called the local dealership but nobody can give me an answer. I was wondering if anybody here could possibly help me out. Thanks!

Can't help you with a direct replacement but if your tank is non-metallic, consider upgrading to an electronic tank monitor with external sensors.
Mine has worked flawlessly for 6 years.

G'Day,

The part you are after, if the same as the Elegante (can't see why it wouldn't be) is
part number 425-00-0381 cost $ 90.85 Canadian Dollars from Doral. The quote is from Feb 2011 so should be current.

Try cleaning thoroughly first, leaving the tank dry for a while causes the build up on the sensor to set rock hard!.

FunInDuhSun: If I can't find a direct replacement what brand Tank Sensor did you install?

BSAFlash: I'll look that unit up today and see if that is it. I have taken the sensor out and cleaned it but it is still dead. I switched the sending units with the starboard tank and everything is fine.

Thanks a lot guys...I truly appreciate the help.

Re: Holding Tank Sensor?

I have an 02 310 SC....just bought it.

Neither the holding tank or fresh water sensors work, so I have 2 questions:

How do you get access to the sensors, and where is the module that drives the panel mounted display? I'm thinking if both are not reading, it must be the electronics module.

Tempting to look at the display but... a nine year old boat. I would start with the sensors in the tanks.

Re: Holding Tank Sensor?

The sensors are usually located in the top of the tanks. Did they both quit working at the same time?

Re: Holding Tank Sensor?

I bought the boat this summer and neither worked.

I would assume they are mounted from the top. Is access from the engince compartment or through access in the cabin?

On the 270 Monticello the waste and water tanks are under the mid-cabin with access ports. Not too sure on your Alegria.
