hole in carb

I was rebuilding my carb and i just made a little hole and i expanded a hole. i was trying to take a thing out of it and i made a little hole. Will it effect the carb while the engine is running???

Depends on which holes! Hole in a jet made larger - BAD. Hole in a vent made larger, maybe not.
