I have a 35" Egg Harbor with inboard motors and m exhast hoses in the engine room keep breaking open. It had happened one before but i figured it was just old hose and have replaced both hoses. With less than 10 hours of run time on the new hose both of them burst in the same day. It was so bad that it choked the engines and had to make patches out of beer cans and duct tape. It looks as though it bust outward but how do you get enough pressure on a 4" exhaust hose? If anybody could tell me a possible cause or even better a solution it would be great. E-mail me at surfer23505@yahoo.com if you have a relative idea of certainty about whats going on. The sooner i get this fixed the sooner i get back to fishing. Thanks much!

Are they cooked? It sounds like you're not getting enough water through the exaust elbows, I would take them off & look for scale deposits.J
