Holsclaw trailer mfg date?

I need to register a trailer for the first time in VT and am missing the trailer date as the last unknown item.
the trailer is a holsclaw A-900, serial number 8G 945.
there is a good chance that this trailer was purchased in 1957 from a dealer.

it has no vin tag as it was taken off the road and stored before the system was implemented.

First, is 1957 a POSSIBLE year for it?
second, does the serial number reflect date in any way?

Since it's Vermont. Just put down what you think it might be and they will accept it. Holesclaw trailers existed in 1957

The A-900 model number was not in use in 1957. Models started with the ST prefix.
