I am looking for controls/cables for my 1972 Homelite 85 hp outboard. If anyone has any ideas on where to find this vintage equipment, please let me know.<br /><br />Thanks in Advance!<br /><br />Ty

Ty,<br /><br />Wow, do you ever have a rare one. There are some 55's around, but the 85's are really rare.<br /><br />There are some folks throughout the US that are real fans of these. Do a search on Google using Homelite or Bearcat as your search criteria.

Hi TY,<br /><br /> I too have a 85hp Bearcat (Coventry Climax FWB)... Its currently on a 1969 Boston Whaler Nauset... I have a lot of info and parts sources that I've found through the years... If you want this info let me know (email is the best way)...I completely rebuilt the engine last summer and obtained a spare water pump... I got new cowl decals from a print shop in PA... Can send you pics of a few other guys that have 85's too...Great motors...<br /><br />Ed

Ty,<br /><br /> Were you able to get the controls you were looking for.??? Mine uses a Morse control and Teleflex cables... If you ever decide to sell the motor please give me a shot at it...<br /> ecz@bellatlantic.net
