just wondering if anyone has made a homemade jackplate for an outboard. I am interested if anyone has. Or does anyone have one for sale they no longer use?

They would be simple to make if you can get the aluminum angle iron stock. My (store bought) Jackplate is four 15" pieces of 2"X2"X3/8" angle iron. These are drilled to bolt together, and have a 3/4 Stainless bolt to raise an lower the motor.

for a small motor you can do a transom elevator, which is 4 pieces of angle bolted to the transom, with a 2x6 on top of the transom.

or i have 2 pieces of 3/6 aluminum bent into a semi Z 3 inches on each bend, and 3 pieces of 1/2 in ply laminated.
