I have read your previous posts(again). Unless I am missing something, it did not appear that you attempted to contact anyone else within the company to resolve your problem(s) and to report the unaceptable customer service rep, you had encountered.

IMO, it is unfair to blast any company on the actions of one person, without making a decent effort to resolve an issue.

As for the rep, who knows? Maybe it was his last day on the job. Maybe his dog just died and his girlfiend is sleeping with someone who has a larger boat ;)

Anyway, after all this, they might treat you very nicely.

Regards.

too late. You missed it.

(like the notion that the bigger boat gets the girl. Unfortunately, I just recently downsized.)

By the way, would you give the same benefit-of-the-doubt to the rude clerk at the MVA? Just curious.

I have been in the customer service business long enough to know that employees may not always properly represent the company's mission and values.

If other reps, supervisors, vice presidents, presidents ;) , had given Homerr the same treatment, you could begin to wonder.

What's an MVA?

My apologies. I guess I should be working instead.

iboats Admin quote

"We try to not delete anyone's postings unless we have to (and haven't in this instance). One of the things that have helped these boards has been the following and until now unspoken rule:

Threads are very rarely closed around here but when they are, please do not continue them on a new one. They were closed for a good reason."

MVA is the acronym for Motor Vehicle Administration (in some states, anyway). In the course of the heated discussion about customer service, etc., it just struck me that government reps in contact with the public might not get the same defense as that given here to business representatives -- just a curiousity. But this forum is about boating....

IMO, the Colorado Springs branch of DMV has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced with government offices.

We did however an issue once at the California DMV, where we had to "talk with a supervisor", who, thankfully was a little nicer a more helpful.

It doesn't really matter anyway. Until Walmart starts selling license plates (and someday they will ;) ) some businesses are monopolies (or at least the only store in town), so sometimes you have to take what you get.

Off to the lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's let this tread die and go boating :)
