Re: Honda 115 to 130 Info
This question gets asked alot and the answer is almost always the same. While a Honda expert may be along shortly and can tell you in a heartbeat what needs to be changed, it is rarely cost effective to do this conversion and the results (if successful) will rarely result in much performance improvement. With four-stroke engines of the same displacement, camshafts, compression, ignition timing, exhaust and intake tuning, cylinder head and valve sizes, carb/fuel injections systems can all be involved. If you have a thick wallet, go for it. But in my opinion, your money would be better off left in your wallet or applied toward a new/newer engine of the size you really want or need. There are lots of less expensive things you can do to increase performance than trying to extract more power from an engine. Engine height, prop selection, weight distribution, trim tabs and jack plates are just a few.
