I have a 1996 Honda 30HP remote control engine. It has always been a bit of a problem when it comes to idling. Always a bit nervous going into locks in case it cuts out - So i decided to strip down the carbs and give them a clean. I checked the idle jets for blockages and cleaned the whole lot and blasted air through everything and replaced all seals and gaskets. - I have since put everything back on the engine. Balanced with vacuum guages and run it on brand new petrol. - It idles great once it warms up. However, if i take the boat for a run of say half an hour. When i go into idle, the engine sounds really rough. Probably worse than before. It sounds like it is running on 1 or 2 cylinders instead of 3 and i have the feather the throttle to keep it running. Is there something I've missed ? The pilot screws are set at 3 turns out as per the manual.
