Hello; I recently purchased a very used Honda 7.5 hp motor. It is an older model with a vertical carb. It will run for a very short time then flood out severely. The oil becomes diluted quickly & there is some oil discharged from the breather tube. If you squeeze off the line to the carb from the fuel pump it will run with the throttle wide open, as long as you meter a bit of fuel to it by releasing the line occasionally. It has compression, I have replaced the condenser, & cleaned the carb & fuel pump. I have set the float so the primer will go hard prior to starting. Once it starts once it will flood with the primer after that. The fuel pump is not producing excessive pressure. Has anyone run into this before? Thank you.

Could the fuel pump cause the masive flooding issue? Thank you.
