Honda BF45 Stalls when Accelerating

I have an early 1990's Honda BF45A outboard (45 hp 4 cycle). Engine is in good shape, but continually suffers this same problem. It starts and idles fine. But when give it throttle, it starts to lose power and stalls around 2000-2500 RPM. But it immediately will restart. If am lucky, it keeps running/missing and once gets to 3000 RPM, then it runs perfectly again, smoothly powering up to 5500 RPM. It sounded like mid-speed carb jets clogged to me. So have rebuilt the three carbs twice so far --- gumout cleaner spray, ultrasonic bath, air blow. Also cleaned the fuel lines, changed all filters, checked fuel pump, new gas, ethanol treatment, etc. But still have same problem. Squeezing the fuel bulb doesn't seem to help. I'm starting to think this may not be a carb problem at all (maybe electrical?)

Anyone have similar problem? Any ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks

Re: Honda BF45 Stalls when Accelerating

I cold weather my old BF45 (1991) was just the same. I kept it running for about 1-2 min. on 1500 rpm before slowly open the throttle to maximum. When it was warm the problem was minimum. I own now a 2007 BF50 and this engine are almost similar... My tips is check the thermostat, maybe it runs to cold? My feeling is that Honda BF45/50 engines runs with a "lack of fuel" when the humidity i high or the temperature is low...

Sorry for bad English :)
