Re: Honda BF75A 2003 not idling
Your diagnosis sounds right on the money.Purging that fuel delivery from the engine connect to the drain at the carbs is SOMETIMES helpfull and always a good first effort.Get a portable tank with fuel you just purchased at the station and plug it in.Remove the white engine fuel filter and either dump it out into a clean fuel safe container or replace it.That will be your engine fuel sample so let us know what you see in that sample.Put the filter back in and still disconnected to the fuel pump and give that primer a couple of squeezes.Purge the fuel pump the same way a couple times. Now move on to the carbs. Each carb has a nipple for a drain hose on the bottom rear of the float bowl and the bottom carb will have that hose attached.Pull that hose off that bottom carb and move it to the nipple at the top carb and drain it while giving the primer bulb some pumps.Do that for each carb down the mani then do it again until you are convinced that you have absolutly fresh fuel everywhere, then do it again.Cross your fingers and hope for the best.Good luck
