Can anyone tell me where to find, preferably online, 3-view drawings of a 2006 Honda 15hp? I need these to plan the installation in my new boat, tried Honda Marine but they couldn't help, nothing in brochures.

Re: Honda drawings

I was hoping I could find a drawing online, rather than having to buy a manual for a motor that I don't actually own yet. I'll try Honda again, they said they'd try to find something for me but that was a couple of weeks ago.

Re: Honda drawings

OK I found plenty of exploded parts diagrams but no 3-views of complete motors, probably just looking in the wrong place but it's a big site, give me a hint please!

Re: Honda drawings

if you mean 3 dimensional drawings with dimensions-the only place would be the engineering drawings from the factory and I've never seen 3-d drawings on-line...try posting in the Honda section and post the type of dimensions needed...maybe someone will measure theirs for you8)

Re: Honda drawings

I know the overall dimensions as they are quoted in the brochures, what I need is to be able to copy a 3-view drawing at the same scale as my plans so I can overlay it. I'm building a motor well and need to be sure the motor not only fits, but can also be removed easily without fouling anything, this seems to be the easiest way to do it.

Petrolhead,

did you ever find any dimensioned drawings of the Honda engines? I'm looking for them for exactly the same reasons you mentioned in the post a few years back.

If anyone has a source, I'd appreciate learning where to get these files.

It seems amazing that Honda considers this generic information so confidential they won't publish it? I've written them over and over, talked to my closest dealers and every single Honda related person is confused about what is being sought!

How on earth does this firm build their fine engines? wouldn't they need drawings? Is it possible that an entire sales organization could be so uninformed about the marine design process? The disconnect between the support organization and the design and manufacturing arms is so complete I cannot understand how they sell products?

cheers,

Kevin Morin
