I had a very interesting conversation with a Honda rep in Georgia at Honda USA headquarters. I called asking about a warranty card on my new 225 Honda outboard. He checked, yes it was registered and under warranty, I ask about a card to take with me in the event I went over to Vancouver Island, Canada and had a problem, how would I show it was under warranty. His reply was most interesting and so was our conversation, but after about 15 minutes back and forth, the short and long of the matter is that Honda warranty does not exists in Canada unless it was purchased in Canada. He went on about different EPA, etc. Finally I thanked hi mfor his time told I felt like was talking in/to the winds. He final;ly said like it or not that is the way it is. Was I shocker or what. Just hope and pray I never have an issue and can't make it back to the USA get get warranty work done.
