I have a Simrad Go SX9 and have been looking for affordable night vision for my boat since I am hoping to do more night runs this year and while I loved my radar last year it just didn't give me the confidence to run at night like I need/want to. Right now what should take 1.5 hours would take me close to 4 hours at the speed I am comfortable going.

I read the Sionyx website for MFD compatability and it says it does not work. However I suspect I could get an adapter cable and make it work. I found some others online doing it though none posted what their solution was other than adapter or cable. Anyone know of an exact setup that would work in this situation?

The unit requires an analog video input to transfer the image from the unit to the MFD.

If your MFD does not have the video input, you’re done.

It has other inputs which I believe are available so I was thinking an adapter might make it work.

This is a hardware issue, not a cable issue.

The video processing on your unit is done on an “onboard” chip. The chip either has the ability to process analog (real time) video or it doesn’t.

Any work around would cost more than buying a MFD with the proper input.

Ah okay I was thinking it came down to just wrong connection type rather than a data processing issue. Damm
