Last year I picked up a beautiful 24 foot cruiser that I had intended to use for some Great Lakes fishing. At the time I knew the motor was locked so I got if for a song. I picked up a new motor and then started reading about OMC stringer outdrives. I'm thinking of selling the OMC to finance a conversion to Merc but that has stalled my progress.

In the mean time I was working with a buddy on his boat. It's old and I don't know what kind but we were going to make it a center console. We got it running well when he lost interest and decided to give me the boat! The wood is all rotten and I'm going to have to strip it to bare hull but at least the drive and motor are good. I've done a lot of fiberglass in the past so this shouldn't be that big a deal.

I just hope my wife doesn't kill me when I show up with another project this weekend!

Where should we send the flowers??? You are toast, dude! Maybe not "death" toast, but for sure a "long stay in the hospital" toast!
