Horsepower Rating>

I did a search and couldn't find this info, so I thought I'd post and see if someone here can help...

I recently purchased a 1994 Celebrity 220 Status, with the 350 Mag Mercruiser / Alpha 1 outdrive, and am wondering what the horsepower rating of that engine was at the time it was new. I can find ratings for new motors, but I haven't found anything that looks at what the rating of that engine was 12 years ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that motor with Multi Port Fuel Injection was 280 hp, Throttle Body Injection was 270hp. The new Vortec design (96 up) MPI is 300 hp.
