I want to install a hot foot on my boat. Before I buy one, I would like to know if there are any Snaff Foos that could hang me up. I'm pretty sure I would have to purchase a longer control cable. My boat is 17' and I'm not sure how long a control cable I would have to buy. Also, in my Clymer shop manual, there are a lot of complicated throttle adjustments that scars the heck out of me. From all the product reviews I have read, all have said that installation is easy.

Can some one please let me know what I'm getting myself into.

Thanks,

Very simple, no big deal. It's best to leave the existing cable hooked to the hand control and just tuck it away after removing it from the motor (in case you want to switch back). The sync-n-link adjustments are the same no matter which control you use. They are not complicated at all, no big deal really.
