200 HP!?! Sign me up! I'd just like a good working idea of how these engines can be improved reliably. I read a few books years ago on souping up small block chevies and ended up building a very powerful and reliable car on a small budget. Part of me wants to get into a project like that again, if only I could make the time...

If any titles come to mind throw 'em at me, Thanks!

Not many (any?) engine builders write a book with all their tricks. However there is an article with about all there is to do to some Johnson/Evinrude engines. Go to Screamandfly.com and do a search for ?-OMC engine building tips, or ask "racer", I think he wrote it. Most of the engine builders and racers are there and glad to help with more info than you can use.
Backfire ;)
