I have a atlantic marine hot water heater model # T10E not sure how old it is but the boat is a 1989 Formula PC. The question is does anyone know how to get into this heater to change heating element. I have power going to it but not getting hot figured i would try the element-but I dont see any panel or even screws for that matter to get into the unit. any help would be appriciated- i believe i can find a replacement element if i can get into it Thanks COOL IT

There should be a square access panel right on the front of the heater (usually off to one side) that is near the water inlet/outlet piping. Plumbing might have the screws obstructed. If it's not there, check the back. Should be pretty close to where the wiring goes in as well since the power feeds the thermostat and the thermostat is wired to the element.

P.S. It's a water heater, not a hot water heater. Really no need to heat hot water...;)

Some times those engine rooms are tight. Since the boat wasn't built around the water heater, it had to placed there and mounted. If necessary, find the 3-4 clips or screws that are holding it in place and remove them. There's always a way but it's not necessarily always easy.

THANK YOU!!!

Is this company still making cold water heaters? If so, they might have a customer service department you could consult with. Might be worth a check.
