hot wiring to test electrics on 130 hp with no control box

Hi, still trying to get to the point where I see spark in at least one of the plugs. Right now I'm in the process of hot wiring the motor. battery connected, then wired the red wire to the blue, then <br />when i tap the red wire to the yellow the stater kicks on and when I tap the red to the green wire the choke pushes out. I have the repair manual with <br />the wiring scematic. Did i miss any wires that have to be joined in order to get spark or should I move on to testing for current down the circuit. I'm really hoping I don't have to replace the cd module and coil, big bucks, lol. Thanks for reading any imput would be great.
